Is my water suitable for a Betta?

Foam sponges are soft and squishy. You can usually put 2 sponges in the same spot that 1 normally goes and just squish em together and squeeze them in.

I could try my best squeeze two in. I have another spare filter that came with my tank that I haven’t used yet. If I removed all the media from that I think I should be able to fit 2 of these in there. If I set it up I may even keep it in my guppy tank as I’m not having much luck with the filter I have currently.
