Someone please offer me an opinion im getting pretty worried

I suggest trying a forum that focuses on turtles, you will probably get better results. I for one know nothing about turtles.

Good luck,

i wish you the best of luck, i do know about reptiles just not about turtles. i use this forum for my reptiles it might be worth checking out www.repticzone.com i have always found it useful.

If its a clear almost misty colour
its more than likely just them shedding.
Turtles dont shed as much as reptiles such as
Beardies. But they do like all reptiles when they grow ^^

If its alot of shedding constantly it can become a problem.
I would guess its normal, but if not
Cut down on the protein.

Hiya he's a Mississippi Map in a glass tank, plenty of swimming space and basking rock with UV basking lamp.

It is misty, kinda see through really and only on what id call his skin

more than likely shedding.
JUst keep an eye on him.

If it is shedding hes gona be fine,
just lower the amount of protein for a while (if excessively feeding).

Its a perfectly natural process :)

if it looks like thin film on the skin areas only, that sounds like shedding. Normal. Scutes shed as well but not as often.

if it gets furry or fuzzy lookin, it can be fungus and that needs a vet visit usually.

*blinkblink* Buslady? Well fancy meetin' you here! Small world.

And that's what I was going to say, if it looks "furry," it sounds more like a fungus. I don't raise turtles, but that would be my educated guess, at least.
