it's not overstocked, but those clown loaches are not a good fit. They get to a foot long (albeit very slowly) and like to be in groups of more than 6 (the more the better).

the two gouramis - are they both male? If so, you might find that they will fight, with the loser being the one that dies.

yea i read about the clown loaches and i will be getting a bigger tank when needed and i was going to get more but the fish shop i go to havent had any more in for a few weeks, and the dwarf gouramis are both male but they seem happy together they swim around together i wanted some females but cant find anywhere that sells them, how many more fish will i be able to fit in this tank? thanks.

the loahces will need a BIIIIIG tank in the end. Highly active.

The DGs may start out ok as they get used to their surroundings, just keep an eye on them and be prepared to rehome/seperate at a moments notice!

as for other additions, I'm not sure. I dont know much about the temprement of the loaches and if they have a tendancy to eat small fish??? Hopefully someone else will know.

 Your tank seems to be fine. However the clown loaches are a risk. you could keep them in their for a couple more years as they are slow growers but after that they will need more room and they need a bigger shoal anyways. It is reported that clown loaches can live up to 50 years in captivity!

50 YEARS?? lol i was told they live for 10 to 15 years but i dont know much about them, i was also wondering if clown plecos like to be on there own or with others? thanks for the help.

clown plecos tend to be territorial. there should be 2 hiding places for every one territorial or shy fish in the aqauria. from what i have been told.

ok maybe il just stick with the one i have then cheers!

just thought id add on to this, does anyone know if a red tail shark would be ok with the fish i listed above? because i have been told diferent things about them???

or cory catfish? thanks

Clown plec's, like all plecs, are mobile s.hit machines, so consider this in your bioload. Other than being hard to get hold of good stock (so i have found) there grow to a max of about 5 inches, so dont need the same room most plecs do, but still require a fair swimming space, and a few hiding places.

Apparently they are pretty much fully nocturnal and very shy, so if your happy to keep a fish you'll likely only see during maintenence, go for it :)

Mine sits in exactly the same position under an ornament all day. I'd be worried he was dead if it wasn't for the giant trails of bogwood-coloured poop all over the sand :D

what gender are your guppys? you may have a population explosion if your not careful and the clown loaches will get very big

they are all male i wanted some females but there wasnt any in stock when i bought them. yea im gonna get a bigger tank when they get abit bigger.

if you get females the guppys will breed and you may find yourself overrun so i would keep and eye on it if you get females aswell
