just wondering if bioload is too much.
i have a 44 gallon aquarium
which will hopefully be heavily planted by 16 april 2009.
it has a large 50 gal capacity canister filter with filter wool, filter floss, sponge and bioballs.
all fully cycled with daily 20 percent water changes.
i have
8 neon tetras
4 zebra danios
and 9 angelfish which are medium sized 4" angelfish.

9 angels sound a lot when they are fully grown and they might eat the neons

Hi, How large are your angelfish? 9 does sound alot for a 44 gallon.
Also i would be careful about the neons who might get eaten when the angelfish grow.

The Neons could also find the Angels' fins rather inviting, too. In general, they just don't mix well.

Just wondering, are you still doing daily water changes? If your tank is cycled, you can do just weekly water changes :)

yes i,m still doing water changes. so now can i have 9 angelfish.??in a heavily planted tank?with so many water changes.

cuz i really like them so do,nt wanna give em back. am gonna buy a new 50 gal. but its gonna be a reef aquarium.

do your nitrates creep up on you quickly? how long does it take for them to be 20ppm more than your base reading? if its quicker than a week, i would say your over stocked
