Is my new Betta clamping?

Carbonate hardness doesn't affect fish, don't try to alter it. Testers will say that it's too high or too low, but ignore that. All carnonate hardness does is buffer pH against changes.

Hi guys,
Thanks so much for all your advice!
I went and got a kit- couldn’t get a liquid one.

here’s the results! Doesn’t look like anything too extreme thankfully (I hope!)
we are going to do a water change later today as well with some dechlorinator in
Any tips on reducing that carbonate hardness?
Where’s the ammonia test? Errrh and welcome!

do a 75% water change and gravel clean the substrate each day for a week and see how it looks.
make sure any new water is free of chlorine/ chloramine before it's added to the tank.
