Is My Heater On Its Way Out?

hi all

i have a 50w aquael easy heater in my 23L Edge and this morning i noticed a dip in temp on the tank normally i run the heat at 28 and it keeps the tank at a steady 26-28 and this morning i noticed the tank had dropped to 23 i sat for a while keeping a eye on the temp and the heater the heater has been on for a good hour and the heat has barely rised by .1degree so i have put up the temp on the heater to around 32-34 and the tank just wont get any higher than 24degrees

hopefully the 3 guppies i have will be fine at 24 degrees for now but obvs i dont wanna keep the tank running with a dodgy heater that could go at any time so i need a deffos yes or no if the heater is on its way out

thanks for the reply a nipped out after your reply and got another one and its warming the tank up nicely now nice steady 26degrees-ish hopefully the fish wernt affected by the drop in temp

its fine got a Marina heater 25w, only down side is its preset to 26 but i can work with that and it should be fine
