i beleive its maury, Jerrys more keen to other things now adays, regardless OPs male probaly isnt the father as paradise said.

If your male tried mating with the female, even if she was pregnant from a previous male, the females tend to naturally select the fresh source for the next pregnancy so it's quite possible the male in the tank is the father. It's not a guarantee of course.

I heard that females can get pregnant by a different male than the previous one during the 24 hour period after she has fry.   I'm not sure if this is true, I just read about it on a few different websites.
