I fast my fish for 1-2 days each week. It's fine
Thanks i'll do that as they are well fed and i vacuum twice weekly... i think my hubby will drop dead on the spot witnessing itYour husband is correct. Your corys will be fine if they only skip one day Hun. It’s called a starvation day It’s for the fish so their digestive system can fully digest everything they have eaten over the 6 days. it also promotes healthier fish. I’ve noticed a huge difference in my fish since I started to do it that way. They will nibble at the gravel picking up whatever then can to eat the day you don’t feed them but that’s perfectly normal. If fish could have access to food every time they go to the top to make the owner feel bad they would over eat and become very ill they don’t realize that but we know what’s better for them lol
Yep she definitely pregnant she giving birth as we speak I have a them in an seprateter which you will see in the picture am not sure if I have to move them out to there own tank? Do I need different lighting and how long do I leave the Mollie before putting her back in the community aswell as the fish how long before they can go in to the tank ?Yes it definitely helps the health of my fish and they don’t mind going a day without food. That’s definitely a female and looks pregnant I have 5 pregnant Dalmatian Mollies right now and she looks just like them. When the fish are bought they may not look pregnant at first but they can carry the males sperm for roughly 10 months fertilizing eggs every 30 days from the stored sperm without a male needing to be present. Hope that helps

If it was up to my hubby he would starve them at least 3 times a week as he says it does them good and he's doing fishing all is life and there's one thing about fishing you need to know your fish i'm heavy handed and he made me a tiny plastic scoop to make sure a level amount was added it comes to something it does. You’re absolutely welcome glad to help. I vacuum twice a week as well. Lmao my hubby looked at me like I had 50 heads when I said I was starving my fish for a day every week and his jaw dropped like what? really? they won’t die? And the first few times he snuck food in the tank cause he was worried until I caught him lol then realized they will be fine without a feeding After they survived I knew they were going to be fine but this is the first time he’s owned fish his entire life so he was panicking a little
Yeah I don’t think I Can leave them for a full day I’ll be like your hubby sneaking in to feed them lolIf it was up to my hubby he would starve them at least 3 times a week as he says it does them good and he's doing fishing all is life and there's one thing about fishing you need to know your fish i'm heavy handed and he made me a tiny plastic scoop to make sure a level amount was added it comes to something it does.
Hi yes thank you tho she 14 fry maybe more but she started labour in the tank so think we lost a few they was still in the community tank in the isolation box thing not sure what’s it’s called and my loaches sucked 5 through the gaps in the bottom until got a propa tank to put them in in the morning so now have 9 fry and all seem to be doing great was curious how long it takes for them to get there colour and how to tell the difference between a male and female as I’ve been told to separate them at 5 - 6 weeks ?Just be careful when putting them in the breeder boxes if she doesn’t have them within 24 hours release her back into the tank and then just watch for signs of labor they will hide a lot right before delivery, she will have contractions that you’ll be able to see if you pay very close attention to her when you notice that or see her rear looks cone shaped That means she’s going into labor that’s when you want to move her to save the babies cause she will eat them. Some babies come out jet black and some come out clear and hard to see unless your really paying attention. Congratulations on the babies soon to come
