Has she been in a tank with any males? if so then she is pregnant :)

It’s difficult to send photos here. I’ll try again.

She was with males but only for a few hours about two weeks ago.

Two to three days! They go mad if I miss a morning lol. I have a boy and a girl tank, the boys are worse.

I don’t think she is pregnant now, she in half my 110L tank on her own, swimming round like a nutcase, lol. Maybe she trying to lose weight! Lol. She was being bullied but one of the other females so I had to get a devider. She loves it.

For someone new to this, it’s very difficult to get the feeding right. I’ve read all the 5 minuets thing. My male take with 6 guppies, 4 neons and a willow, go crazy when I put flakes in, all gone within 15 seconds! So I put a few more in, takes another 15 seconds! The female tank with just four they are not so keen, I put four flakes in, this morning I had to take one out!

The seven Fry guppies just have this powder food, they always seem hungry, but it’s very little about six times a day.

For a tank with an established filter, the way you feed the male guppy tank is what you should do for most fish. Basically offer a little bit, let them eat it all then offer a bit more. Continue offering a little bit at a time until they are no longer racing around chomping it up. Then stop feeding. It might only take 2 minutes for some fish, others will eat for 10 or 15 minutes.
It's all about having a suitable food size for the fish and offering them a little bit, then a bit more, and a bit more until they are full.

In a new tank or a tank that has ammonia or nitrite problems, then you only feed a little bit every couple of days.

For baby fish, you need to feed as much as they can eat and as often as possible. The fry have very small stomachs and a rapid metabolism that helps them digest the food very quickly. Combine that with them growing and you have little feeding machines that can be fed 10 times a day if you have the time. However, most people simply feed fry 3 or more times per day.

If you crumble the flake up a bit it will be easier for small fish to eat.

She is stressed because there are no other Guppies in the tank,

She is stressed because there are no other Guppies in the tank,

I didn’t explain that properly. She’s in there with two other females but with a tank devider cos one of them was pestering her, bullying. They can see each other, but I’ll keep them apart for another day and try again.

So it’s okay to not feed for two days, the female tank has got high nitrite, I just gave them a flake each, I’ll leave it till tomorrow night now.

I went to MA and got this yesterday, the test have shown a good response. It’s not so orange today, much lighter. If I don’t feed today tomorrow and test again Wednesday, hopefully all will be good.

I’m sure this filter I got with this tank is not good enough, it never really was good for my son. So I’m getting the Eheim Biopower 200, apparently even though my tank is only 110L this filter is perfect.

I was going to ask you guys, when I get this new filter do I run the two together in the tank at the same time! The new one needs time, if so, how kind should I run them both for?
