Is My Gravel Appropriate?

I have natural river gravel substrate, im not entirley sure if it is suitable as I have read alot of heated forums about how some gravel will wear down their barbells

I had the same problem. I went with smooth, small stones and one of my corys still doesn't have barbels. I would suggest sand if you can afford it, I wish i had gone that route.

does work but is a risk
the higher chanses are its good enough

i guess i will have to wait until I start a new tank
