I have an African cichlid tank with about 40 African cichlids in. My recently bought ruti island cichlid seems pregnant (large jaw as if holding eggs). I have attached images. Could anyone please tell me if it is or not?

Also I have posted in emergencies just in case I need to quickly remove

Thankyou

They carry eggs and fry in their mouth for about 3 weeks.

Don't remove her, just have lots of plants and hinding places and leave her alone. If you are concerned about other fish eating the babues, perhaps move the other fish, or carefully catch her and keep her in water, and move her into a different tank.

I would ideally like to keep the fry, I’m gunna keep an eye out when I feed tomorrow to see if she eats. If not I might give it a week and potentially move her tank. Does that sound ok?
