Is My Fish Deformed Or Sick?

 Hi everyone, I am new to this hobby.. I just today purchased 2 red minor tetras to add to my existing 3 I had in my tank. I just noticed the whole mouth area is completely open, it looks like a huge line, I don't know if he is sick or if he was attacked in the pet store. can someone help me.

From what I can see in the pictures it looks almost as if he has been attacked by another fish, just keep an eye on it and if it gets any worse then he is probably sick but if he was attacked it will start healing soon

what fish was it with in the petshop

He was at petsmart in a tank with only red minors. will it heal?  or is this permanent?  should I use some medicine at all to help

maby it was damaged at the breeder. u can try add medicine (it cant do harm) and see if it helps

May be it was threatened or attacked in pet store, if it is so then it will start healing soon.
Otherwise may be it is sick.....
I wish that it will get well soon.
