So last night as i was feeding the fish i noticed my female golden eyed cichlid (Nannacara anomala) was out afer a few days of only seeing her for seconds at a time then i notice she has fry... loads of fry. she is in the tank with 4 angelfish and the male thus far she seems able to keep the angels away even my monster black lace boy
I would love to have some of the fry survive so my question is if i were to move her and the fry to a smaller tank alone would she continue to care for them or is the stress likely to make her eat them ? i had no idea they were on the way as she hasnt been overly hard on the male though now i think on it he had started to chase of the angelfish when they got too close to her cave
i dont have a spare tank large enough to remove the other fish though i think i may need to get one
any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks
