that mixed fruit tetras are shot up with dye to make the colors that they are?
 
yup. they are. sad ha? most people on here say not to buy them.
 
that is what I have been told too because they will lose their color after a while.
 
from what ive seen if u fees ur fish right and keep the water clean the original non dyed ones look a lot better the color look deeper and there happer.

how would u like a massive needel stick into ur body and making u diff color?

White Skirt Tetras are beautiful, hardy fish. Someone had posted a picture on the forums a while back of one catching the light so that it sparkled exactly like a diamond tetra.

It is a cruel process.....there's been many posts and debates about this...and always the outcome of it...it's cruel and uncanny....and all for money!!

HA! I thought it was your picture snowy, but I didn't want to guess and be wrong. Beautiful fish and great photo!! :nod: :D
 
when I had heard how they got their color, I felt sorry for them and angry at the people who did it to them.
