Is It Too Much?

Good to know...Always seem to be looking at the same fish in your sig. :p Not stalking! I swear

Oh, and 12 Von Rios would be awesome. They used to rule the mid regions of my tank since I had 6 of them, & only 5 each of the Barbs & Lemon Tetras. Some of the Von Rios grew faster than the others, presumably the females since they have very fat bellies, and they aren't shy at feeding time. A dozen of them would be a sight to behold I'd think.

It's okay, I'm flattered.

No really, a large number of the Cherry Barbs could be bad in a small area just because they chase each other a lot. A large number of the Von Rios or the Lemons would be great though IMO.

I kinda got the Von Rios to replace my Tiger Barbs, which were way too aggressive for my taste, like little pirahnnas...........

:good: Thanks! I should end up with plenty of room, we are rehoming a naughty Platy. Whoever said platies are peaceful hasn't met this one. Sorry for hijacking your thread Toady!

Ohhh I love the lemon tetras too...I'm going pretty heavy with the plants and I saw some in a planted tank recently and they shined! Haven't seen any here though

Tiger barbs are on my "future" list when I can have species tank for them.

That's strange, my son's Lyretail Molly is staring to chase the Neons around & I'm trying to convince him to re-home her. I'm trying to talk him into Platys istead, cause they're smaller & less aggressive

Can he keep 4 Platy males in a 20 gallon high with 14 Neons or would you recommend females instead or not at all?

My male sunburst was darting at the male marigold today endlessly. The females seem to huddle together more. My male sunburst is just a little nuts and was chasing the females until they were so stressed and breathing crazy. If you don't want fry then the males would be fine, the marigold was a new addition and they are probably just learning their place.

Are there any other top dwellers apart from hatchetfish?
