Is it safe to put another pregnant momma in the maternity ward now that i have new fry?
The 2 guppies were in there origionally and then i decided that they didn't look pregnant enough to be in there. Well now 2 days later - i've never seen such a fat guppy before!
But i want to keep my 5 little charges safe too!
Will the guppy eat my fry?

She may. How old are they now, a few days? So they've had time to settle in, and figure out the hiding spots....I'd say they should be okay, but it's kinda risky. Some Guppies will never eat fry, even their own, some will just eat them no matter what.

If you wanted to be safe, I would get a divider and then just divide off the area they are in from the Guppy. Or divide off an area for the Guppy, which will probably be easier. But that's just me. :)

Another option is keeping them in a breeder net for a little while until the Guppy fry are born.

breeding nets are really useful, i keep mine in them for a month or so until they go into the main tank and i can use my breeding box again. The fry will maybe be eaten depending on how big and fast they are.
