I was wondering if it is possible if a male betta can have mulitible partners when spawning? Like for example you put 3 or 4 females with a male betta and he could build a ultra massive bubble nest and spawn with all the females in one day and put all the eggs in the nest. :p

That'd be interesting, but I doubt it. I think he'd kill the other females except one, maybe all of them.

Do you think you'd ever try it synirr but like if the male starts attacking all but one female you'd remove them?

The females would compete with one-another over the male and everyone would beat up on everyone else, probably to the point that no one would get to spawn. The simple answer is no, it would not work. Period.

I have a male smaragdina with three females in a ten gallon. He spawned with one, cared for the eggs then spawned with the others...so he has three clutches of eggs from three different girls. What a pig

I, however, do think it possible for them (splendens) to spawn with more than one female if the setting is done properly. It's not impossible. I wouldn't,however, want that to happen as I like knowing who came from who.
