or is that like cruel i didint know about guppies before but my friend said there were guppies in this lil stream by my house i saw fish but didint know they were guppies but i still dont know... i thought it would be fun to have wild fish

They are probably misquito fish (a close relative of the guppy) and It would be alright to catch them and keep them in a tank especialy if you kept them with stream water and on live food (like skimming larve off local ponds/pudles)
