Is It Okay To Use A Terra Cotta Pot In A Tank?

I have a few live plants in plastic cups in my tank, since I have very little gravel. (Easier to clean)    
 
Would it be harmful to my fish to put the plants in small Terra Cotta Pots?    They've never been exposed to chemicals, soap, etc.   And they aren't glazed.    I have them soaking right now in plain water. Certainly would look better than plastic cups...  :)

yea its perfectly fine ive seen many memebers do it including myself.

Thank you.  Did you soak them first, just in case?
