What the title says!
I've been soaking my wood for a while but the container isn't quite big enough so there's a tiny top bit exposed. I don't have a spare air pump or anything so the water is still and develops a film on it within a few days of each water change I do on it.
Is it okay to put it into my tank now? I understand that it probably won't sink yet, but it doesn't seem to be discoloring the water much any more which was my main concern.
I've also heard that it can help lower pH. Is this true? Ammonia seems to send my pH rocketing so it would be good if it did
