Is It Okay For Bettas To See Each Other?

Hi,

I have 2 bettas in TWO SEPARATE tanks. I put the tanks next to each other with a paper between them so my bettas dont see each other so that dont get stress out. However, I'm thinking about buying a new tank and use a betta divider to separate them. Is it okay for bettas to see each other?

it is generally ok but sometimes they may flair at each other

some people say not to use a clear divider as too much flaring could lead to tail rips or stress, I believe you can buy opaque dividers so that they cant see each other, I would go for one of those to be on the safe side

I have two boys that 100% can NOT be in any sort of divided tank, even if the dividers are non see threw, they still get stressed out and munch their tails.
