O.K. Guys, then I take it from all the various answers that you are not in favour of cycling the tank with fish, you prefer the fish-less cycle method :/ ....So there you go.! To any newbie interested in reading this thread...Don't do what I have done, or all your fish will be ill with gill burn and have a shortened life :( ...Even if you read that Neon Tetras are hardy fish ignore it ,apparently there wrong!... :( and you will also become a sucker to your local l.f.s ( he will be able to sell you any-thing)...Are they all crooks then? :fun:
 
Roy, I wouldn't draw such a conclusion that cycling with fish is always bad. As with almost anything to do with keeping fish, there are different ways of doing it, and more than one way can be successful.

Yeah, I think I understand the idea of fishless cycling, and adding all fish at once. For me, my tanks are a project that's constantly being worked on, and I like to add fish and plants a few at a time.
