Is it just me, or are these tanks seriously overstocked and poorly stocked?

Just a youtube video I found while browsing the internet. Is it just me, or are they horribly overstocked and cramped? Not only that, but the fish selection is awful? I know there are lots of plants and filtration and he does regular water changes, and that it is different for breeders, but not even my LFS has so many fish in a single tank!

Edit: I would watch it on double speed if you can.

It's all about water quality - you can have a heavily stocked tank if you do the work to keep the water quality high. Admittedly, most hobbyists would fail with such a high bio-load, but although it seemed overcrowded in many of those tanks, the fish looked really good and healthy.

Isn’t there still the issue of space? The tanks looked so crowded?

Id never seen him before. Even his YouTube channel name makes me dislike it, though it’s clever. What youtubers are at the top of your “dislike” list?

I like most fishtubers, even the young ones from Florida with little knowledge...

But when I start to watch this one their manner just annoy me - so I maybe I watch later when I have more patience

They seem nervous. It’s like they're trying too hard to act chill.

Paul Cuffaro is #1. His older videos absolutely disgust me, especially this one:

I guess he’s got a little better, but still. You should read some of the comment on that video... some people know their stuff and call him out on it.

Wow I’ve never even heard of him! Now I’ll have to watch it Lol. I don’t watch a whole lot of YouTube videos

In general he actually gives good advice more recently, it's just that it's obvious he doesn't really understand it himself. And he is quite entertaining.

I used to watch him regular, the videos that annoyed me the most were the shopping trips to fill such and such tank.... that you know he filled with other fish like 2 months ago. Sometimes they have ended up going in one of the ponds, but I always wonder if they all died from ammonia burns. It wouldn't be so bad if the fish deaths were at least used to educate - but they are covered up.

If you watch any of the youtubers with brains like Rachel, aquapros Mike, co-op, or even OFR and Joey DIY, though both are perhaps bad influences, you will get Paul and his buddy Nick in your feed.

Whenever I watch videos, I take everything I hear with a grain of salt and do some of my own research. Unfortunately a lot of beginners don’t have enough experience to be able to pick out the misguidance from the accurate information

And even the good ones tend to not bother match the fish to their water hardness. But then they are often breeders who sell them on, some of them rehome a tank so they film the rescaping and restocking and so on. Rachel O'Leary seems to know her stuff mostly, she does lecture tours for fish clubs too. She says she only started youtube after Joey diy or someone suggested it, previously her online presence was on forums. For all I know this one.
