That depends where you looked. Many websites and YouTube videos are by people who know very little about fish keeping.

What research send a link?evryone was saying its fine to keep bettas with other fish? I researched for months.
To be honest, it would probably take me months to find enough people saying that.evryone was saying its fine to keep bettas with other fish? I researched for months.
Even female Betta sororities have potential issues with aggression. Only really experienced and serious fishkeepers would try and have a female Betta sorority or a breeding pair of Betta. They always have a spare, cycled aquarium standing by to remove an aggressive fish.
Betta are highly unpredictable, highly aggressive fish...they fight in the wild and they are often fought by owners in Thailand & Cambodia where it is a sport (think of dog fighting with Pitbulls and you get the picture) Unlike Pitbulls the Betta needs no human encouragement or medications to fight, they do it naturally.
Even the most docile Betta (male/female) can and usually does turn on their tankmates eventually. They have very specific body language and they will not tolerate other fish once they start to get aggressive....the aggression can be weeks, months after buying the fish but it WILL happen and any fish that they have taken a dislike to WILL die.
Do not even think about getting any fish until your aquarium is ready in around December this year and you have done proper research otherwise you are literally killing fish out of ignorance and that ignorance is preventable only if you listen to advice from seasoned fishkeepers, read and research fully on sites like this and quit cutting corners all the time.
I can see why other sites may have evicted you and why people get angry at you. Learn to listen to what you are being told, act on it and if unsure then ask questions....but do not then decide to do your own thing when the answers you get do not suit you or you cannot be bothered. If you want to keep fish you must learn to do it properly. Fish are living creatures who deserve respect and to be cared for properly just like any other animal.

thank you very much.It can take longer than that or less than that depending on several factors - the fish keeper doing it right, the GH, KH and pH of the water, the temperature of the water. So many variables affect how long it takes.
Fishless takes anywhere tween 6 and 8 weeks, often longerok, you have advised me very well, thank u. Btw i am doing it the right way, and doesn't cycling only take 4-6 weeks?
Even with experience please don’t keep Bettas together!Thank u very much, i will never have other fish with bettas until im more experienced, and doesnt cycling only take 4-6 weeks, what do u want me to do in the extra month yout told me to do.
How long will it be if i add old filter media from one of my cycled tanks.Fishless takes anywhere tween 6 and 8 weeks, often longer
With fish it can take anywhere tween 8 and 12 weeks, often longer
All depends on the water chemistry and whether it is being done correctly
ok, thank u.Even with experience please don’t keep Bettas together!
unless you have good clear indication that they are ready to breed and then only put 2 together and as soon as mated they need separating again ASAP.
There again...you're so very desperate to rush things! How long will it be if i add old filter media from one of my cycled tanks.
