Is It Alright To Put A Bala Shark With Oscar ?

This is for my mate- NOT ME

Hes got a 2.5" Oscar (same as me) and he wants to put a 6-8" Bala shark with it, is this alright,??? ..... Or will Bala shark kill the Oscar ???

the bal will not kill the oscar, however the oscar will soon grow to be the same size as the shark only bulkier and although I;ve kept oscars with other fish they are always one bad morning away from killing a tankmate and can be quite boisterous with tankmates. They are big powerful cichlids after all
On another note the bala shark would be far happier and confident with other bala sharks and clearly your mate would require a large tank to provide ideal conditions for it

My mate sed his tank is either 4th 6ft or 5ft most likely

He'd get two but the pet store has the one only.

So for definat the ball won't kill or harm the Oscar ???
Btw the Oscar might get moved when it's 8" to his 400gal cichlid tank
