Is Human Blood Dangerous To A Betta?

Since my 3-year old male Betta passed away in April, I got myself a new one who is almost half a year old with me.

Just curious..

On a good humid day, i could at least kill 4-6 bloody mosquitoes that have bitten me. I usually feed the freshly killed bugs to my betta.

Can human blood be hazardous to Betta?

You could have many infections and bacteria in your blood that could be passed on to your Betta which may cause problems. So could the mosquito.

Feeding your betta something you haven't cultured your self or bought from a store can be risky business. TallTree01 made a very good point.
