Is he a Budgie?

what lovely birdies you have, I haven't had a young budgie for ages now, one of mine is getting on a bit, about 11/12.

One of ours can't fly so he has to be tame to get aorund the place although he's a nifty climber.

My girl Jill I worked very hard to perch her after not being able to get near her for the frist few years he had her. so now if I move my hand close she hops on and has the occasional fight with my thumb :D

males bite just as hard though :X when his last partner died (yer he's that old) he became so mean and every time you perched him he would attempt taking several chunks out your finger.

I don't think mine like me tooo much at the moment, before they came out for a fly almost daily but now with a new cat they get less time out, the old cat didn't lift a eye lid to them!!

Hmm looking at the photo i don't think your budgie is very young, the white around the edge of the pupil indicates its an adult budgie. So i suspect you have a female especially if she taking chunks out of you!! Is she acting more dominant than Blue? My two female budgies always try and beat the boys around and the boys will nearly always back down. the fact that they bonded so quickly makes me suspect they are of an opposite sex! :D

Oh right! I thought he/she may be young as he/she is quite small compared to Blue, maybe that doesn't show in the photo. I wouldn't say that she's more dominant than Blue, not that i've noticed anyway.

Well whatever sex they are they are lovely budgies who you obviously love and thats all that matters. I think that albino and lupino budgies are generally harder to sex but a true expert could tell you! :) They have obviously bonded with each other if they are preening together so you won't have any problems. i recently bought a new boyfriend for one of my females from a budgie breeder and all they do is stare at one another  Neither of them know what to do !!

Hows the training going, my new budgie is a nightmare to train everytime i tell him to step up he just goes and climbs the cage to get away form me LOL -_- But he is pretty so i forgive him!

Well Blue hates being held now :grr: but he still steps onto our hands and stays there for all of 10 seconds, and he lets us put him back in the cage OK, but the Albino, ( named Cyril, Don't ask why :D but we just couldn't think of a name, but now i think it needs a female name :D won't come near anyone and i think scares Blue when she stresses, So i've decided (someone on here suggested it) to tame them seperately in different rooms to see if that helps.
