ive seen people use expanding foam for rock structures and a have a 3 ft tank that has a crack at one end so i wanted to put a piece of glass 2 ft down silicone it then fill the 1 ft gap with the crack with expanding foam to add strength would this work

in short.... no
you would most likely shatter your tank as the expanding foam would push on the glass...

you could try replacing the pane of glss, get on google and find some where that will cut your glass to size

remove the cracked glass by sliding a craft knife down the joint and then cleaning away all the excess silicone, then apply a thin bead of silicone to the edge of the glass and then pop your new piece of glass on and allow to set.

test it and cross your fingers before stocking fish in it

thanks but i opted against any way
