So ... I upgraded my Tank to a 75 Gallon. This leaves me with a fully kitted spare tank.

I am hooked so I am thinking of getting another medium sized fish.

All I can hear is

"1 fish is enough"
"you won't have space or it will look stupid"
"you spend way to much time setting these things up"
"don't you love your original fish anymore"

As my Girlfriend Banters from the other side of the room.

BUT is ENOUGH really E--NOUGH?

Once I learned and felt comfortable with the hobby I keep thinking about the ENDLESS possibilities.

My Question to you.

How many have more then 1 tank? Or 1 90 Gallon or over?

I want to know am I just going crazy or am I just apart of the addiction?

Many people refer to it as MTS - MuLTIPLE tank syndrome

I myself have a 80gal, 15 gal and just bought a 44gal, But I would buy more eventually or upgrade :D

MMMM I have 3 tanks, but a few weeks ago I had 7 in a 2 bed flat. My boyf had a fit and put his foot down! So I guess I suffer from the MTS

I built a fish house at the bottom of the garden (100 tanks and box ponds) at my last abode, thats were it led me.
For fear of starting a battle of the sexes I will refrain from commenting on fishkeepers wives.

I have 2 tanks a 75 gallon and a 44 gallon corner. I'd have liked more, but my wife probably won't have it.....So I had to adopt a thinking like this:
Unless your entire life is dedicated to the trees, haveing more than a few apple trees will not get you more apples than haveing 2 trees you can take care of well.
Once I settled into this thinking I sat down and considered what I really wanted for my tanks, that being a good home for my favorite fish, and second a beautiful aqua scape in my home. Now that I've reached my goals for my tanks I'm more than satisfied with them and I rarely have the urge for more tanks.
Make your apple trees the best they can be and I think you'll find your in a balance of you and your apples being happiest under the circumstances...........Unless you have no other responsibility, then just go wild and have as many tanks as you can fit into your place!!!! :)

Fish I have?

75 Gallon -8 cory cats,13 glolight tetras,5 oto cats,2 spoted rapheal cats,1 RTBS,and 1 Snakeskin gorumi
44 Gallon- 8 kuli loaches,4 upside down cats,1 SAE,and 1 orange swordtail.

I bought a house with a workshop in the garden so that i could turn it into a fish house to find space for my obsession, i'm now running 18 tanks with a total volume of around 2000 gallons and one of those tanks covers 48 square feet of floor space on its own.

If you let it this hobby can spiral way out of control and before you know it every room in the house has a glass box in it and half your salary each year gets spent on new fish

no i agree the possibilites (sp) are endless.im now down to 7 tanks from 10, and currently have my eye on another large one, and for the life of me i cant stop myself wanting to pay the asking price for it, its not like i need it. im just addicted, and i will for sure be sooo upset when it sells and i didnt get it- hmmm that sounds like a good enough excuse to me

It's part of the addiction. As long as you can budget the money & time for it you will be fine. I've noticed that once folks get to about 6 tanks they consider breeding, getting toward 10 tanks they are looking to breed to add some funds back to pay for expenses. About 10 tanks is when people look to put all the tanks in one designated area, making maintenance easier.

I know plenty of folks with 20-30+ tanks, we have a support group we refer to as an aquarium society. Over the years I've seen members with a couple of tanks come in, get involved, and grow from there. At last night's meeting a new member won a 20 long in the raffle. Older members often win things that will never get used, we were tossing food, dechlor, all sorts of little things that will be needed into this 20 gallon tank. I won a little ammo alert gizmo, into the tank it went.

Us older members are a bunch of enablers, terrible people to associate with.
