I have an extra 3 and a half gallon vase and I was wondering if I could keep one Betta in here I know it is small but I have a Betta in a 1 gallon tank and wondered if I could keep it in a 3 and a half gallon vase instead of the one gallon tank

I would definitely make sure he has a place to rest halfway up or near the top.

Are you going to use a filter and heater on this vase? Also, are you planting it?

Betta people say as long as it's 2 gallons or more then yes. You're is over that so it would be fine size wise. depending on your country and the weather and how hot it is where you live you'd need a heater tbh. You'd also need to do more water changes without a filter. People do do it. It's not for me but you can do it. There's a US Betta forum where people who do it are on and they'd advise you on how many water changes you'd need and stuff. I'd defo really research this before you do it though.

A small filtered tank doesn't cost too much. You can find them on ebay cheap.

As said, make sure he has somewhere to rest. As you probably know, bettas live in rice paddies in the wild, so they'd like long, shallow tanks rather than short, deep tanks. :good:
