For a green terror and a jack dempsey? I've got a feeling it would be, but felt it worth asking.

Also, my GT is rather... well... Unterrifying. He is getting picked on by my firemouth, for hell's sake. They're both the same size and were introduced to the tank at the same time and everything. Should I just give them some time to sort things out, or remove the firemouth and give the GT some time to settle in?

I would leave the dempsey out. I've often found green terrors to be pretty unaggressive, they usually get the short end of the stick when placed with more aggressive cichlids. He should be ok with the fm given time. For now just have lots of hiding spots.

I think you'll be alright
