I know that most catfish are prone to ick...but are they able to grow out of it or some tolerance to getting infected by it. Particularly the irridescent sharks (Pangasius hypophthalmus) I've noticed seems to catch ick almost as frequently as clown loaches. In fact when I purchased mine they had such bad a case of ick it seemed as if there was no hope. They have survived the worst case when I first got them and many minor cases after that. Right now they are about 3 inches but I'm more concerned about their well being when I change their housing from a mere 55 Gal to a 300 Gal. I've found out that the larger the tank, the more difficult to maintain a constant temperature. Will they be more hardy when they reach a certain age? Thank you in advance.
