Iriddescent Sharks

I was trying to catch my shark (I have no idea why)with my bare hand. When I finally caught him, he stung me. Is this normal?

i was at a party one time and a kid reached in a fish tank and grabed a Iriddescent Shark it stung him.(he didnt grab it more like scooped under it) It was funny, sadly I learned the shark died the next day

I have never been stung by either of ours, but I must say I have never tried the bare hand catching technique! Perhaps you could invest in a net?

I will definitely keep an eye on this thread as I haven't heard of the stinging phenomenon before...

it hurts like crap too. If you've been stung by a bullhead, that's exactly how it feels. I had pain in my hand for about a day.

I caught a bullhead once, just cut the line so I didn't get stung.

I Have been cut by the 2 foot long pleco, THAT HURT! lol
