bit of advice needed!

Although I love my fish, every now and again I revert to a 16 yo boy and my love of creepy crawlies comes out,

I'm after some advice on what inverts I can add to my tropical setup,

I have a 24x12x15 tank with

1x Albino catfish ( is this actually a species or an albino version of another species)
3x Cherry Barbs
and 6 Zebra Danios

I was thinking something snail like, to help with algie (excuse the spelling)
possible something crabby for the same reason.

I love blue lobsters but have a feeling my fishy friends wouldn't feel the same!

maybe shrimps 2, but a bit boring for my liking.

I guess that the stocking guidelines for inverts would be different than for fish, with them mainly only habiting the bottom of the tank, but i'm ready to be corrected.

thanks in advance for your help.

How about a Cameroon Armoured Shrimp?
These guys grow to 6" and are filter feeders,
that is to say they screen the water feeding upon
microbs and hense they clean the water in doing so.
here is a link to a pic of one of mine click here

What a Beaut, at 6" would be the biggest thing in my tank! and would be no danger to anything else? fantastic, never seen one in any of my local shops, are they hard to get hold off?

what sort of cost are they?

out of 6 lfs's in my area (kent) only two sell them both sell at £7.95 each
the scientific name is Atyopsis gabonensis.
Ask you lfs if they can get them, as I've not seen them online anywhere.
And to comfirm they are totally harmless to other inhabitants of the aquarium.
PS. I have also seen them eat poo
