After quickly checking my tank i've noticed that one of radishes gills is constanly sticking out as if he is half flaring.

He is acting normallly but i don't what caused it or what to do about it. I am trying to get pics now.

Please help me.

There no use.

I'm going to treat with melafix half dose. Wilder said it didn't sound bacterial so it's just clenliness now.

id just keep clean water for now...it could be his beard just sticking out(being large for his gills and not "lining up"with him---like a genetic variation)...if after a time you think this might not be the case, THEN id add some melafix...half dose for bettas but some STILL cant tolerate that, it irritaes them and stresses them out and then even weirder behavior might start...clean clean water often fixes many problems on their own. in the meantime is when you think about treatment options if that doesnt seem to be helping...i never recommed rushing to put more chemcals in the tank.
all the best.

It's deffinately not his beard. His gill cover sticks out at a 60 degree angle i think its and injury but i dont know what from. The anks has all silk plants and 3 round smooth rocks. I added the melafix todayand ill keep it up for a week at half dose. I'm using ammolock to treat the water to fend off the mini cycle i hope everything gets back on track soon.

will keep you posted.

Well good luck and hope everything goes well. Just after you brought him and thought everything was going well !
