Hi All
Just thought I'd introduce my cat, Pepsi, to the forum. He's about 13 yrs old and I've had him since he was a kitten. I think he's still a handsome boy, despite his age - and he's still in good health!
He's a house cat but since we moved out of a flat into a house with a garden, he has been getting braver about having a nosey around the garden. He hated it at first and if I took him out onto the lawn he would lie on his tummy refusing to walk and as soon as he heard a rustle of the wind, he'd dash back indoors. But he's more used to it now and seems to enjoy exploring the flower beds for 10 mins - but still prefers the warmth of indoor life!
He has a strange food addiction, too...have you ever heard of a cat that loves to eat green olives? He goes crazy for them! If I happen to have them on my plate, he can smell them and starts miaowing and throwing himself at my feet and rolling onto his back (oh he does that when he wants to be fed as my daughter taught him to "Lie down" for a cat treat when he was a kitten). My daughter and I laugh about it and say he must be a Greek cat (we are half Greek) because not only does he love olives but he seems to understand when I talk in Greek to him!
He follows me around the house like a dog, forever at my heels - he also does tricks - if you say "give me your paw" he'll lift a paw up and put it in your hand. Then you can say "give me the other paw" and he'll put the first one down and lift the other paw up into your hand! If you say, "Lay down" he does so and he has even been known to follow the instruction "roll over" many a time (although it depends on his mood LOL).
He refuses to drink water from a bowl - he has to drink straight from the bath tap!
Not entirely sure how to post pics but giving it a try as it's ages since I posted any. This was taken a couple of months ago...
