Introducing Otis

Rehomed it with one of mattlees friends. It was far to skittish for me, 3 year old and 2 dogs going past ever 2 seconds meant it was dashing about and hitting the glass. :(

My Vieja is a bit jumpy sometimes, but he always waits at the end of the tank right by the door *I want a 'bangs head on wall' smilie* so it's a bit silly really. Funnily enough, he hardly ever jumps when I go by, but jumps at my OH.

Still think he's a fab fish though, he always waits for me to come over and if he sees me coming he'll swim over as quick as he can to greet me. He's got more personality than Boris, and doesn't fight his own reflection

Oh and the poop is something else! Boris always sh$ts himself after we've done a gravel vac/waterchange. Every....single...time... Mister Sparkles is the same though, on the mammouth poop front. Gross.

Just got back from a few days away and his fins are very tatty. Very split. Think the culprit is my angel fish which is going back in the 180 in a bit. The jade eyeds don't seem to bother him so would be suprised if its them.

How quick do oscars repair themselves?

Otis's tail has already repaired itself, quite a fantastic process really.

He is definately already a 'pet' as he recognises when you're near the tank and is always wanting to be fed.
