Would just like to introduce you to Otis... :D

He's about 1.5-2" atm and i am really looking forward to watching him (or her!!) grow up! :)

He will make a nice meal when he's older , yum yum :p

lol you just couldnt resist any more could you . hope that upgrades coming soon , you will be shocked at how quickly hes gonna grow

He looks great :) is he in the tank which the jd was in?

Yes Brad, he is in the 4ft tank atm, should be fine until he reaches something like 8-9". The 5x2x2 should be in place for mid February, so he should be about 7-8" by then. If he's anymore then he will just have to stop swimming and turning around.

And no Mark, I couldn't resist any longer, should have gone with him in the first place. The Vieja has been rehomed.

Still unsure of Dithers, thinking of Spanner Barbs if i can find some that are of a decent size already. Either that or a group of maybe 6 Spotted Silver Dollars as these stay smaller than their dinner plate cousins.

Thinking of:

1 Oscar.
2 Honduran Red Points.
6 Dithers. ????
1 L001 Plec.
3-5 Pim Pictus Cats for clearing up.

id go very light on tankmates in the current setup mate . an inch per month is the norm with oscars but mine grew that in their first week :hyper:

Yeah that is the eventual stocking Mark. Thinking of swapping the Jade Eyeds for my HRP's though and removing the 3 Bronze Cory's and the Juvenile BN's that were plonked in there from another tank i have shut down?

Rehomed it with one of mattlees friends. It was far to skittish for me, 3 year old and 2 dogs going past ever 2 seconds meant it was dashing about and hitting the glass. :(

I should imagine he will grow rapidly. Just put half a algae tablet in and he got it before it hit the floor and just swallowed it. Although he did expell most of it through his gills 2 minutes later. thinking of changing his name though, do I need to use depoll?

He looks great, i saw a tank of some a while ago, if i didn't know better i wouldn't have been able to resist taking one home

Yeah they're very cute whe babies.

He is very camera shy though :( Just tried to catch a quick snap and he was having non of it

hes wiked i love them as young uns as they grow they dont tend to look so neat lol i saw a tank of about 15/20 in a local maidenhead i found by accident on my way home from work nowere else near me ever seems to have them but i think theyre great fish to own and watch hope you enjoy watching him grow :D
