Fish Gatherer
Here's an example of major stupidity... I have a 2 gal hex on either side of my bed. Hollywood (the boy) is in one, and Calypso (the girl) is in the other. Talk about losing sleep...
Also, sorry about the cat hair on the glass... my cat likes to drink out of my water change buckets, so there's cat hair on a lot of my fish stuff...
I know I promised Netty photos days ago, but there was a lot of this going on:
I must have 400 bad shots on my camera to get this many... they are very stressed. Arrived in great condition considering what I've put them through and settled in very well, but a couple of flashes and they freak out and hide, and their colours go .
This is the best photo I have of Hollywood. Unfortunately it makes him look like there's a bend in his caudal peduncle and a few scaling faults... there is NOT. It's the most accurate to colour though... taken at night with a tissue over the flash bulb.
Hollywood, my little fish pretzel: this is his favourite position to beg for more food in:
What a total poser, he's a natural in front of the camera (when he's not scared of it!)
Colours a little washed out, but I still like this photo:
Look at the iridescence...
I'm teaching him the essential rules of life. 1) Bloodworms are yummy. 2) I have bloodworms. Generally once they get that, further rules are unnecessary, because I've got them wrapped round my fingers:
Shot with a fair bit of his tank in view:
Here are a few shots of his girlfriend Calypso... they are full siblings, so hopefully should breed true.
Got a nice bit of iridescence showing on her... she's only three months old, so I'm interested to see if it develops into dragon scaling.
She's hard to photograph, there are a LOT of shots like this only worse:
Showing off her tank:
Got her posing eventually:
So what you guys think? Would love feedback on the pair!
