The PF's 2,3,4 offer all the features of the PF1. In addition they have a seperate Biomedia chamber. This is housed in the head unit and contains Biomedia. The huge surface area of this media provides superior biological filtration. Additionally it allows the filter foams to be cleaned more thoroughly, as doing so will not affect the biological effectiveness of the filter.
Unique non return valve prevents waste being dumped back into the aquarium when the filter is removed.
Water passes through filter foam before reaching carbon foam which removes toxins, discolouration, odour, metals and pesticides.
Always replace carbon every 3-6 weeks on the side of the carrier with carbon stamped on.
