Hey,
Does anyone have any experience buying fom EBay stores such as Aquarium HK and Andvanced Aquarium Store (AAS)???
I'm in the process of setting up a new tank and although I want my fish and plants to look amazing I also want to do it as cheaply as possible!
Thanks

I have bought plenty of things from internet sources. When you do that, it pays to look up each vendor's reputation, unless you happen to know the source. Be careful because almost anyone on a place like E-bay will have a 95% or higher satisfaction rating. I consider anything much less than 99% positive as a potential warning signal to avoid that particular vendor. Be aware that many of the larger chain stores also maintain web sites and will often honor their on-line prices if you print a copy of their ads and bring it with you to the store. It will mean that you can't just deal with the cashier since a price over-ride often takes a supervisor becoming involved. I would say that you have nothing at all to lose by asking though.

I've ordered more fish related products off ebay recently than I really care to think about - some from the UK and some from HK (sponge filters for £3 delivered - you can't really beat that) and out of the 30-40 odd products I've ordered over the last 6 months, I've only had issues with 1 so far - I'm having a bit of a faff over an inline heater that hasn't turned up which I've been chasing the seller for over the last fortnight. I think it will eventually turn up - only 350 feedbacks but 100% score - but I'd say it's worth checking a) feedback score and b) amount of feedback. You should be fine though if you're sensible.
