Internal filters - stupid question

I've got a Clear Jet 3 internal power filter (see here) but it's too tall to fit in my tank upright.

Is it okay to put it in horizontally - would this affect the effectiveness of the filtering or the output??

yup that will be fin=e horizontaly,
we have that in a few tanks at work
and they are horizontal.
