Internal Filter For Marine Tank

is it possible to put an internal filter in a marine tank? sorry if its a beginner question but i wanna get a marine tank but don't know if i can afford the sumps and what have you's and i have no idea how to set most of the equipment up! thanks x

Its possible but usually not adviseable. Best way to do it is to use Live Rock and powerheads for marine filtration. While very convenient, you dont NEED a sump.

It sometimes helps to run carbon depending on the situation of the tank etc. . . but Ski's right if you have enough live rock & sand - you should be good.
