Internal Filter Advice

I have just set up a tank (104L)
I am having trouble getting my water clean I am using a fluval U2+
Can anyone give me advice which internal would give me crystal clear water - I am using floss pads in an attempt to clean the water and I'm having to rinse these daily to gain a little success.
The major problem is that the tank has to run on an internal as it a sealed unit when lid closed (ferplast Cayman)) - the original internal had been removed so I wired in the U2 thinking it would easily cope

U2 or 2+ ?

Problem i found with the U series is that you're limited with what you can use inside it. The older style plus models by fluval allowed you do put what you wanted in it. I believe Jake was selling an internal in the classifieds? Maybe worth a look.

Maybe try and source a 3+ from ebay or similar?
