You could start there.
LOL, yep, I think I'll just pop into the other room and phone the US  . I think for now I'll stick to Ebay sellers, the ignorance of some people is annoying though :) Replies like-
'Ornamental fish, not outdoor fish. I can understand outdoor fish getting to that size, but my six goldfish are all fully grown, and each are about 1.5 inches... when purchased along with the goldfish, I was made aware that two goldfish could live comfortably in this container, and so they did. This is meant as a starter pack, maybe for a child... not for larger fish.'

This was for a 1 gallon 'goldfish' bowl. All I said was that it was too small for goldfish as they get to 6'' plus, and that it could be sold as a betta bowl. Some people, eh?

The bowl on the fish one would make a great change bowl for storing your coins while you save for a REAL TANK !!!

90% of people think fish are decoration and have no feelings the other 10% use this fourm

What terrible tanks

Get this though I was watching an Australian tv show called The block ..anyways tonight some of the couples had finished rooms and in one of the couples living rooms they had 3 plastic circle things on the wall that stuck out with water in them...maybe a gallon at most and in each of them they had 2 goldfish!!!!!!!!!!!! If that wasn't terrible enough I was watching last week and another couple had 3 glass bowl things underneath their tv in a display center and these bowls were also maybe a gallon each and they were housing goldfish too!!

I dont understand how people think fish can be used as decorations like that

actually, that 15g "pond" would be awesome for a display with a paradise fish (which can live happily in water from 58-84 F). if kept in only part sun in a region that doesn't have a lot of daily temperature variations (like on the beach), you could even just keep hardy fish that like warm temperatures in it. and there a lot of fish like livebearers that have a temperature range of over 15 degrees  the key is to set it up so that it's only in part-sun.

there are plenty of ways in which the pop-up tank could be very attractive and humane--the only problem is that half the people who buy one won't know what to properly do with it. :/

Personaly with the "pond" those are rather nice looking on decks. To deter predators simply make a mesh lid, for the heat they sell chillers that cool the tank. Although you'd only be able to keep 1 fancy goldfish in there (no commons, commons need at least 30 gallons while fancies need 10) it is prefectly capable and humane, just get a filter. Like Bettamomma said, it's like having a 15 gallon tank on your deck. Though I rather keep it inside anyway, I might be wierd but I like to look at my fish.

EDIT: Pica, we posted at the same time with basicly the same response.

Honestly, I think the pond tank is actually a REALLY cool idea too. It is actually a humane tank for several different kinds of fish.
I just would have to set up some sort of little tropical oasis in my basement with a fake palm tree, etc. in the corner and then have this somewhere in the room.

The other teeny weeny one disgusts me because of the fact that bettas will jump out of that thing in no time flat.

I've read bad things about pop up aquariums. Mostly that one day you will walk in and see it collapsed into itself
that is sooo sad i whould never buy one poor fish

My mom bought me that fish-on-fish one last Christmas.... It looks pretty nice if you just fill the bowl with colourful pebbles and a few candles :p

Oh deary, bettamomma don't scare me like that! I found this thread and for a while I thought you seriously liked these tanks!
