With the external filter im going to buy im also looking to buy an inline heater

Hiya Cooky. I don't personally use external heaters but from my experience with them, hydor is the best make avaliable. I would go for it

Hi Cooky,

Think I posted on that thread about external heaters - I use the Hydor 300's on both my tanks and think they're fantastic, would highly recommend them

yeah i got Ian one for his planted tank, personally i wouldn't bother spending that much money on a heater (for one of my tanks anyway) but it's fits the aesthetics of planted tanks so he likes it

I set up my 75 gallon tank 2 years ago with the Hydor 300s and they have worked great. It's less stuff hanging inside the tank.
