Thanks everyone for all the advice yesterday and @ the mods for merging this post because I wasn't sure how to. Cedrick's fin healed super fast and he's a little skittish rn but I followed the advice I was given and made sure to do another water change. Thanks again! Have a great day.

That's great! Dont be a stranger. We'd all love to see pictures of Cedrick in his new tank when you are able.

I have a couple of photos of him in his current tank, but I'm still a student and am not in the financial position where I can get a new tank with all the fittings yet, and my parents think it would be too much of a hassle to clean the 10 gal tank I have my eye on. But yeah it's on my wishlist and I'm saving up for it Thank you for all your support.

Bigger tanks are much easier to clean and stabilise parameters in, plus you can do a better scape. The bigger, the better
