I have some swords in a low tech tank and they are strange plants, some of there leaves look brilliant and healthy, others look terrible, luckily more good than bad. I believe swords are big root feeders, maybe why the throw out such massive root systems. I would have thought adding the root tabs would suffice, just remove any effected leaves down to the bottom of the stem and new leaves will growThanks JayIt means a lot. Its very low lighting, but I try to dose the appropriate amount of ferts. My swords in both tanks are lacking something, but most people probably wouldn't notice. I am not sure what I should be adding. Maybe it's the sand beds? I have root tabs but maybe should add more.
IF the crypts are perfect...then..
I have read varying things about the incubation. Some said 3 days. I thought about slightly raising the temperature a few degrees. I didn't know that they were old enough to breed, I've only had them a few weeks so I wasn't prepared at all. Luckily I did have everything I need to start a brine shrimp hatchery.Love it. Is so cool how she is flapping her pecs over the eggs. Looks like she is trying to fly. Do they hatch after 48 hours?![]()
thanks for adding those videos. If it was my tank I would just sit an stare at them, how awesome!
