((((Jess)))) it's very hard when we lose our feathered/four footed friends, and so many don't understand our grieving. These special animals become a part of our family, they are very loved. Indie was a beautiful bird, thank you for sharing those treasured photos.

Remember that though they are gone, they live on in our memories, in us.....by sharing our lives they change us, they make us who we are. We are blessed to share this time with them. You'll never replace Indie, but you will have room in your heart for another lucky bird who will create their own special place.

Angel Lady - I dont think i could ever get another Grey, it would be like replacing Indie and it just wouldn't be the same.... I will definately get something though

I still keep getting phone calls to ask if ive found her because there was something in the newspaper about her - thats kind of hard. People telling me they thought they saw her flying around like, yesterday and i have to tell them she's dead... Its not nice...

We're all doing ok here though! Looking forward to helping out a new bird and trying to be positive!

I just found this thread....I am terribly sorry for Indies death...

At that same time I am glad you found her and was able to say goodbye...it may not feel like it helped now but in the future that will mean a LOT to you.

I would also get any of my pets cremate if they died....I cremate my fish and put the ashes into pot plants when they die....

I look forward to seeing pictures of the new bird!!!

Still havent got Indie back, i dont really want to phone and see whats going on though...

As i said in another thread i think, at the moment its between a Molluccan Cockatoo and a Blue and Gold Macaw for my next bird, but they're both VERY big and noisy!!! So im still thinking about it

Whatever it is i will post pictures of course!!!

Jess I know you could never replace Indie, I know it isnt that simple to replace a animal with another one. I was nearly suggesting you buy you another bird. Not another Indie. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

So sorry to hear about Indie, she was a beautiful bird.
We have one of our ferrets cremated and he is in a special made wooden jar with a pic of him and beside him is one of his fav treats, a cherry chewy jolly rancher. He looks over use in our living room.
