You can just as easily buy some black water extract from the lfs, or if you wanted you can buy some leaves and leave them in a 2 litre bottle to rest and use the extract from that when the leaves leach out.

If you need some leaves I have some on hand so PM me with whatever you decide to do Cara.

You could also use Atison's Betta Spa, which does the same thing and is basically blackwater extract. I use it occasionally and the bettas love it!

I got a good price on a bunch of the leaves so just bought them.

It is a LOT cheaper just to buy the leaves and make your own extract. It's definitely worth it. I don't know why I waited so long to get some...but I'm glad I finally did. My fish are a lot happier with them.
